thgallery is a photography platform where photographers build personal portfolios and share geotagged photos on an interactive world map. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data while delivering that experience.
What We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address. When you use the platform, we store the photos you upload, any location data attached to them, your portfolio configuration, and limited technical usage data that helps us keep the service running reliably.
How We Use Your Information
Your information powers the core experience: creating your account, displaying your portfolio, and placing your photos on the public map. We also use uploaded photos to surface recommendations — such as showing your work to users exploring similar areas or photography styles — and to promote thgallery through featured content on the platform and in our marketing materials.
Your Photos, Your Ownership
You retain full copyright ownership of every photo you upload. By publishing a photo on thgallery, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that photo within thgallery — including on the public map, in portfolio pages, in curated recommendations, and in promotional content that represents the platform. You may remove your photos at any time; removal ends this license going forward, though previously published promotional materials may be updated on a reasonable timeline.
Location and the Map
Photos uploaded with geotag data appear on thgallery's public interactive map — this is a core part of the platform experience. If you prefer a photo not to appear on the map, simply do not attach location data when uploading it.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising or marketing purposes. Your information is used solely within thgallery to operate the service. It may be disclosed only when legally required or to protect the platform and its users from misuse.
Analytics and Cookies
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the platform is used in aggregate — which pages are visited, how visitors find us, and which features get used. This sets cookies in your browser and sends Google technical data such as your approximate location, device and browser. We do not send Google your name, email, or any photo you upload. You can opt out for every site you visit by installing Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser — thgallery works normally either way.
Your Rights
You may request access to your personal data, correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Policy Updates
We may update this policy as the platform evolves or as legal requirements change. Continued use of thgallery after an update is published means you accept the revised version.
